How To Have A Productive Morning
You Snooze....You Lose
So it's 5:00am and your alarm goes off. Do you typically snooze for an additional 30-40 minutes or do you wake up and get out of bed? Reality is, most of us will snooze for those additional few moments of sleep. Unfortunately, by snoozing, we end up losing. So the old saying " You snooze you lose, proves to be true." Did you know most millionaires (and successful entrepreneurs) are awake by 5am? And to take it a step further, the youngest NBA CEO wakes up at 3:30am, he is at his office by 4:30am, he then works out and then starts his day by sending out motivational emails to his staff; all before most of us even wake up! The amount of productivity that can be achieved in those forsaken hours will blow your mind.
Mimic a CEO
I know everyone is not an entrepreneur, and some work a 9-5. However, the concept of waking up early can still benefit you in many ways. We have to train our minds to mimic a CEO. I know what you're saying, "But Chrissy, I have a boss, I work for someone else." I get that, but we are all CEO's in our own right. Maybe you are a wife, or a mother, or a caregiver for a family member or friend. You are still the CEO over your own life. Managing a household and/or raising a child requires a great deal of energy and organization. Though you may not have the corner office in Manhatten, you still run a business. Waking up early will not only give you a fresh start on your day, but you will also have the energy to get more done faster.
Not only should you wake up early, but start your morning with gratitude and praise. Telling God thank you for another day on this earth will change your life! Once you start to realize how fortunate you are on a day to day basis, it becomes more and more difficult to have a bad day. We have too much to be thankful for every day to wake up on the wrong side of the bed.
eat a good breakfast
Okay, now this is just a no brainer. Breakfast is said to be the most important meal of the day. Why? Because it gives you the nourishment that you need to have a strong start to the day. No matter, what, don't skip breakfast. I get it, some of us are pushed for time (hence why we should wake up early), so cooking a big breakfast may be out of the question. However, you can make an omelette in a ziploc bag in less than 10min. Another quick idea is to grab a piece of fruit or make a Protein smoothie. By any means, eat breakfast!
