L'oreal True Match Foundation Review

L'oreal True Match Foundation Review

Many of you know recently I was testing the L'oreal True Match Foundation. I heard so much about this foundation and I wanted to give it a try. I purchased this from Walmart in the shade soft sable (C6). This foundation claims to be a light to medium coverage foundation for all skin types with a natural finish. Let me give you a little background on my skin. Typically I have combination skin, where I am usually oily in the T-zone area, and, I do have acne prone skin. I like a foundation that offers a light to moderate coverage, but at the same time is build able.

With the initial application, I noticed the foundation appeared to be thicker than I would like. Because I do have acne prone skin, I try to shy away from thicker foundations in fear that they will clog my pores and cause breakouts. This foundation is builable and provided great coverage. After applying the foundation, I noticed it did remain "wet" for a lot longer than I would like. I did set it with a translucent powder ( as recommended by the manufacturer). It was a nice foundation  after application. However, throughout the day, I noticed this foundation oxidized quite a bit. For those who don't know, oxidation occurs when the different fats and minerals in the foundation react with the pigments found in your skin and cause the foundation to appear darker and sometimes even orange. I also noticed the foundation felt heavy and oily on my skin.

I was not impressed with this foundation for my skin tone at all! Many of you may have a different experience with this foundation, but I found this was not a good match for me.

1 out of 4. This was not a great foundation for me. If you had a different experience with this foundation, please leave your comments below.
